Availl defines “personal information” as information about an individual that enables someone to identify or contact that individual and includes‚ among other things‚ that individual’s full name‚ address‚ telephone number and email address‚ as well as other information maintained by Aviall that may be used in combination with one of the foregoing identifiers‚ such as account history or financial information. When does Aviall collect Personal Information?
Aviall collects personal information from you when you voluntarily submit that information to us upon registration as an Aviall customer or Aviall.com customer through our Site‚ when you apply for a job through our Site or otherwise elect to contact us through the Site. Registration and your submissions of personal information through the Site is voluntary. However‚ if you decide not to register‚ you will not be granted access and should discontinue all use of the Site. Product information‚ pricing and availability will not be available to unregistered users.
What happens when I register on the Site?
In order to use certain features of this Site‚ a user must first complete a registration process. During registration a user is required to provide his or her Aviall account number and basic contact information (such as first and last name‚ address‚ company name‚ title‚ department‚ fax number‚ phone number and email address) and is required to establish a login and password.
What happens when I place an order on the Site?
We request information from the user during the ordering process. For example‚ a user will be required to provide contact information (such as name‚ e-mail‚ and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number‚ expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill users' orders. If we have trouble processing an order‚ the information is used to contact the user.
How does Aviall handle information from children?
Only Aviall account holders over the age of 18 may access and place orders through the Site. This Site is not targeted at children under age 18‚ and Aviall does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If a parent becomes aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we ask that the parent or legal guardian of the child contact us by sending an e-mail to email@example.com or calling +1 972-586-1650 requesting that this information be deleted from our records.

Aviall uses the personal information you provided for the purposes for which it was provided‚ for example‚ to process an order‚ to record your order‚ to collect payments or debts‚ to respond to your inquiries‚ for our internal hiring purposes and to send you targeted marketing. In addition‚ personal information may be used to create a profile that we keep on individual users that details their preferences or behavior. This profile may be used to develop and improve our products‚ benefits‚ services and Site experience to you.
What Personal Information Does Aviall Give to Others?
Transfer of Personal Information to Third Party Goods and Services Providers. Aviall employs third party vendors‚ service providers‚ and suppliers to perform various functions on our behalf. Such services include: fulfilling orders; processing credit card payments; collecting debts; removing repetitive information from customer lists; analyzing data; developing‚ hosting and maintaining our Site and databases; sending and receiving e-mail and other communications; and staffing customer service call centers. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions.
Unfortunately‚ no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result‚ while we strive to protect your personal information‚ Aviall cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us‚ and you do so at your own risk. If a user's personal information changes (such as zip code‚ phone‚ e–mail or postal address)‚ or if a user no longer desires our services‚ we provide a way to correct or‚ update or delete/deactivate users' personal information.
